Who is not familiar with all the spider drivers - the well-known problem of achieving a truly solid and durable bond between metal and glass surfaces with simple means? It is about the small locking lever of the triple-opening window of the CS-A to CS-0 models. Many DIY products from 3M, Pattex, UHU and other manufacturers promise miracles, but in practice they fail miserably. By accident, I discovered at the TechnoClassica in Essen a stand of the industrial adhesive manufacturer "Schwanheimer Industriekleber GmbH", which, like all other suppliers, propagated the perfect solution to the problem but completely convinced me with the verifiable results. For the actual gluing, I have removed the triangular window, if it lies flat on the workbench it is easier to work: after one-sided application of the glue, the base of the glue is positioned, pressed briefly, finished! Afterwards, I left the window to rest for one night before the first closing test followed. And - see also: the gluing of the window bolt holds tight!

Thanks to modern adhesives, equipment can be quickly and easily restored
Schwanheimer's produces a whole armada of products to repair (almost) everything, such as broken buckles and worn out threads. Thin fractures, such as the bridge of a sound, only hold when they are amplified. Apply Schwanheimer's industrial adhesive on one side and press the two parts together. Then spread the white filling powder thinly around the damage point. As soon as it is dripped with the liquid glue, it cures immediately.
Torn screws are no longer found in the original hole. If the bore is filled with Schwanheimer's industrialkitt and the screw immersed in oil (prevents the sticking) is screwed in again, a new thread is created.

Now it bonds!
The complete set in the suitcase is certainly the best way to counter the range of bonding materials. We tried it. Granted - the set in a handy, sturdy plastic case is not necessarily a bargain (89,00 €) and for the target group of bargain hunters, the products are not made but it is about safe and stable bonding.
In our practical test, we used a current break point at our caravan. The opening flap on the freezer was broken. The "mini-surface" to be glued is about 3mm x 60mm and unfortunately not really fit. We first use the "activator plus" to prepare the bond. Then we put the glue on this small area and fixed the flap. Briefly stopped and "bombproof". Since the flap triggers a corresponding leverage in use, we stabilized it additionally with the special filler. The result: Full strength and function achieved. Conclusion: We recommend this set in a suitcase. Circuit-Check: Highly recommended!

Plastics are extremely diverse and therefore found in each of our areas of life. But what to do if a part has a crack or breaks off a grip, for example? Instead of a new purchase is also a repair with a special adhesive in question. Despite the undisputed advantages of plastics, the use of the material has recently been the subject of considerable debate, in particular on the topic of microplates and plastic waste in the sea. However, it does not make sense to dispose of already produced articles immediately. It makes much more sense to use these products as long as possible (...). Therefore, minor damage to plastic items should be repaired (...). Fragile spare parts on the motorhome broken again and again? A nuisance, because often even the household glue does not work. Repair broken plastic parts - this is how it works! More by accident we found the Schwanheimer Industrial Adhesive Set at the Caravanfair Düsseldorf in 2018. And it already helped us to master some tricky repairs. Here is our report: (...)
First of all - as an independent blog, of course, no product sponsorship or any other donation is the reason for the blog post. I mention products for the sole reason that it has solved many tricky issues. The adhesives not only impress with their enormous adhesive power, but also with additional solutions such as liquid welding or an industrial kitt as filler for cracks and holes. These sets stick far more than just plastic parts. Even materials such as rubber, PVC, metals, leather, porcelain, stone, glass and wood can be solidly connected. Thanks to the included primer even very difficult materials such as silicone can be glued. Even under water we were able to repair a leak with the industrial kitt. (...)
Conclusion: The purchase price paid off with us long ago. Not only in the motorhome but also in the household a great helper. Broken glasses frames, plastic parts in the Miele dishwasher, torn water hose, cracked mudguard on the bike, loose sole on the sneaker, broken wheel on the mowing machine, cracked Plexiglas parts are just a few more examples of use here.
